Today was my first day back at work after the Bank Holiday, and the
amount of litter I collected between Chippenham Railway Station and my
home would be more than enough to see me through until the end of the
month if I was just sticking to #OneADayInMay.
As it is, what I photographed from today’s collection shows a
representative sample of rubbish: there’s fast food represented by a
McDonald’s cup, a few items of smoking paraphernalia, both Waitrose and
Tesco have an item in the mix, and there’s the ever-present spectre of
Coca-Cola. Regarding which, there were actually fewer recyclables than
expected, so I suppose that’s progress?
