Over the last six years, Off the Ground has undergone a number of changes, from its start as the Rubbish Walks personal blog to a community litter-picking group involved in educational outreach and local anti-litter campaigns.
Off the Ground is currently transitioning to a resource for individuals and communities who not only want to pick up litter but put an end to it through prevention. Combining experience gained “on the ground” in Chippenham with a background in environmental behaviour change means there’s something here for everyone who seeks to clean up our communities.
Thank you for your patience while the new site takes shape!

There are a lot of things that can be done beyond picking up litter to make things a little better. Explore this section for a few thoughts to get you started.
You’re in the right place! Check out the blog for posts about subjects ranging from why people litter and what we can do about it to why balloon releases should be banned and how to avoid greenwashing.
