Reclosable Revisited

Today’s #OneADayInMay find may look familiar: these purple strips are ubiquitous pieces of litter caused by ripping the top off a bag of (most likely Cadbury) sweets.  While I recognise that it’s consumers, not businesses, who actually do the majority of littering, I think that packaging design could play a role in the fight against litter.  Whether it’s using text to send a clear message (”Don’t get a £150 fine for littering. Bin this properly and buy more Brand X”) or preventing two pieces of rubbish from being created, companies can also do their bit.
