#OneADayInMay: 5 May

Today was absolutely gorgeous, and I hope everyone had the opportunity to get out and enjoy it. I certainly did! In addition to visiting a lovely patch of bluebells near Sandy Lane, I also continued to add to my #OneADayInMay tally with a complete range of rubbish.

There’s an energy gel pack from a runner or cyclist, various wrappers from candy bars, an aluminium can, and a bakery bag (?) from Morrison’s. I think this collection underscores why it is so important that we target the behaviour and not just focus on packaging–anything can become litter (and often does), so we must convince people of the necessity of using a bin, regardless of whether they have a napkin, crisp packet, bottle, or can to dispose of.
