Wind, rain, and general busy-ness have kept me from
updating LitterWatch2017, but I can safely assure you that the litter hasn’t
vanished over the past few weeks. As the
rubbish hits 10 months out in the elements, it continues to hang in there … for the most part. A few pieces, like the orange balloon and cellophaned wrapped cigarette carton, no longer stick to the board, but I’ve placed them in the lower lefthand corner where they can continue to weather.
This week also marks the start of an unofficial litter season: Halloween, Bonfire Night, and Christmas bring with them even more rubbish and wrappers than usual. Please mark your calendars for 11th November and join us for a Community Clean Up at Donkey Field from 10am until noon. Whether you can spend just five minutes or the full two hours, your help is greatly appreciated.
