I don’t know about you, but this year seems to be flying by! It’s less than a week to go until the start of May, which means it’s almost time to kick off our third annual One a Day in May campaign. Please consider picking up a minimum of one piece of rubbish a day throughout the month: it’s simple to do and can make a bigger difference than you think.
For example, if everyone who followed OTG on Facebook participated, that would be 3565 pieces of litter off the street. Throw in Twitter followers, and that’s 12,865 fewer pieces of rubbish and recycling in the environment. Join in, post what you find to our Facebook group or Twitter, and encourage others to take part.
When it comes to our littered communities, we have a choice: we can choose to sit back, say it’s someone else’s responsibility, and live surrounded by rubbish. Or we can do what we can, when we can, to make it better. I know which I prefer!
