Jon and I drove through Sandy Lane today and stopped for a few minutes to enjoy the bluebells. It didn’t take long, however, to find far more than one piece of litter. If you’ve been following along on #LitterWatch2017, you’ll know that litter starts to fade within a few months, like the crisp packet below, but beyond that the changes are small. So this litter could have been out here for weeks–or potentially years.
As spring begins to turn into summer and everyone starts to venture further afield, please consider taking a carrier bag with you to collect any rubbish while walking or to participate in a #2minutebeachclean. Everyone can do a little bit to help keep our beauty spots beautiful.
