Please note that the initial brainstorming event for the Chippenham Repair Cafe scheduled for 23 March has been cancelled. Instead we have set up a Facebook page so everyone can share their thoughts and ideas for how we can lay the groundwork for a successful Repair Cafe. This should make it much easier to get it up and running quickly this autumn!
Click here and like/follow the page and take a minute or two to let us know what you would like to see repaired at the Cafe, what skills you can share (administration is a skill too!), and any ideas you have to help it run smoothly. Any questions, just drop me a line.
BONUS: It would be great to get a Library of Things up and running too! These allow for tools from pressure washers to sewing machines to be loaned out rather than owned: the more things that are borrowed, the less that needs to be manufactured (therefore leading to less packaging and electrical waste). Please feel free to share any thoughts you have about this as well: What things would be good to have on hand? Where should they be stored?
